About Nicole
Following a personal health crisis around a decade ago, she developed a deep interest in alternative wellbeing modalities, including yoga, meditation, autogenic training, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), inner child work, Core Energetics, and Reiki.
This transformative journey fostered a profound sense of self-awareness, autonomy, and a deep fascination with the human experience, ultimately inspiring her to pursue a career change. Nicole is currently a somatic practitioner-in-training at the Institute of Core Energetics, New York, and is a certified Reiki practitioner.
Beyond her work in somatics, Nicole is also passionate about painting. She finds the creative process liberating—embracing the uncertainty of the final outcome while balancing composition, color, light, and shadow, and taking artistic risks.
Nicole holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Management and a Bachelor’s degree in International Management. With over 20 years of global experience in supply chain and IT, she brings a diverse and integrative perspective to her work.
Drawing from her multifaceted background, Nicole incorporates her personal and professional experiences into her somatic practice. Her mission is to empower clients through body-centered practices, facilitating a deeper connection to the mind, body, emotions, and soul. Through her work, she helps individuals recalibrate their inner alignment, fostering deeper heart connection and greater balance, fulfillment, and authenticity in their lives.
Methods Used
The approach used at Heart Rooted Being is based on Core Energetics principles which was founded by Dr. John Pierrakos, M.D.. It is a body-centered approach to improve overall energy flow and emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. This approach is experiential and dynamic, and often evokes powerful bodily experiences through physical, emotional, and spiritual exercises, which are designed to restore energetic integrity to your system.
Body, mind and spirit exist in unity and we work holistically towards an increased energy flow and a balance of conscious being & heart-guided doing. Moving the body can help to loosen tight muscles and often improves the feeling of oneself in the body. If blockages are released energy flow can increase.
The work encompasses discovering, questioning and releasing of (often long standing) limiting beliefs and suppressed emotions that usually stem from childhood and are now holding us back and/or are limiting us in our daily lives.
The sessions frequently include breathing exercises, parts & inner child work and upon request Reiki.
Reiki comes from Japan and is a gentle form of energy transmission. “Rei” means “universal”, and “Ki” means “life force energy” or “vital energy”, and the combination of these two words, “Reiki” translates to “universal life force energy”. Reiki transmission can be done hands on, slightly above the body or long distance.
